About Me

Oh you are here!

My name is Edd. I was born in Penang, the culture-rich island in Malaysia. A well-rounded UIUX designer, my passion falls in between creative work and making a difference in the community — contributing my efforts to something bigger than myself.

I began working as a professional designer in 2019. In my spare time, I volunteered in an animal shelter, but something felt missing. It’s the realization that I have something more valuable to offer. Struggling with Bipolar Disorder 1, I decided to share my journey on Twitter, gathering over 14,000 followers in the span of one year.

In 2023, I’m actively involved as a mental health advocate — facilitating group discussions and organizing events. Through my volunteer activities, I become a part of a collective effort to foster an environment where individuals feel accepted and understood. This becomes a deeply personal journey of empathy and understanding the profound impact of genuine connection.

Amidst this journey of giving, I realized there was an equally important journey of self-discovery waiting to unfold.

So I quit my full time job, finding the space to reflect on my own mental health and being a digital nomad in foreign countries.

Just as I had offered support to others in their mental health journeys, I wanted to extend that same compassion inward during my solo travels. While volunteering nurtured my compassion, solo traveling allows me to turn that empathy inward, helping me uncover layers of myself that I might not have encountered otherwise.

Thank you for reading.
